The Poison Arrows are a Chicago, Illinois-based band signed to File Thirteen Records. Finale 2014. Band members include Justin Sinkovich (singer/guitarist of Atombombpocketknife), Pat Morris (bassist of Don Caballero) and Adam Reach.[1] Their latest album, No Known Note, was released in April 2017.[2]
Mostly influenced by experimental and technically adept musicians such as Hella, Don Caballero, and Psych-Folkies Devendra Banhart and Six Organs of Admittance, Maps and Atlases create a distinctive blend of the intricate and organic. Additionally, CRAZY PANTS will come with a digital download of their second live show ever, recorded in 1992. I've heard one other Don Caballero album and it is indeed much heavier than this one. Although this album has a lot of powerful moments and blasts of overdriven bass and distorted guitars, it is a more sedate affair, relatively speaking. That bass, by the way, reminds me of that meaty early-'70s bass sound that Chris Squire used to get. Gold Standard CDEP, released 01 January 2010 1.
